Alcohol abuse became quite common in almost all groups of people. Being a legal drug it gained more popularity among the teenagers. But the fact is that, the younger a person consumes alcohol the greater will be the negative impacts on him. Since, teen brains are tender and are still in the developing stage, use of these harmful substances greatly harm them in a more wider way.

A new research found surprising stats about the number of people getting admitted into the hospitals. It showed that almost 900 people are being admitted in to the hospitals everyday due to alcoholic disorders when compared to the number five years before.

This survey releases the data showing that 1.1 million people are admitted in England during the year 2009-2010 due to alcohol related problems. The experts from the Liverpool John Moore’s University believe that this increase is due to the increased availability of cheap liquor.

All alone in Liverpool, there are 3114 admissions per 100,000 people which shows the increased use of alcohol. The scale of damage revealed by these profiles shows that alcohol is a problem for every one in England.

Majority of people in England who are abusing alcohol for a long time are at serious risk of alcohol related liver cancers and deaths. Besides these, the state official crime statistics shows that there were 392,787 crimes recorded due to alcohol in 2010/11, which equals 7.6 crimes per 1000 people.

These stats show the all round effect of abusing alcohol on the present society. Let it be alcohol related death or doing a crime under alcohol’s influence, it will create some or the other loss making the whole family of the abused person landing in troubles.
