Sources to learn Golf

These days playing golf had became a hobby to all age groups. You can learn golf at any age even at the age of retirement. Now learning is not a problem at all. If you really want to understand the game, you can ask a friend to teach you, hire a personal tutor, inquire in a country club for golf lessons or you can even be a self-taught golfer. To help you decide, here are a few tips and pieces of the options mentioned earlier.

Ask a Friend
If you have friends who are passionate players of the golf then you can learn from them. This way you could learn something new and at the same time catch up with each other’s lives. You could also save a lot of money doing it. You can even just borrow their equipment.

Hire a Personal Tutor
There are golfers who would love to share their knowledge. You could check around your area if there some golfers who live near you. You could also check on various news media, not only the newspapers but also on the web for advertisements. Who knows you may chance upon a professional golfer and he or she is willing to teach you his or her technique.

Go to a Country Club
Country clubs would seem like a very snobbish place with all the high and mighty personalities. Nevertheless, do not be intimidated. Joining country clubs does not mean that you would be one of those stuck-up rich people. You are there to learn anyways. It might be a bit pricey but it will be worth the experience of being around an arrogant group.

Teaching One’s Self
Get books, videos and watch games about golf. Try to imitate professional golfers. Talk to people who are in this field and try to understand and enjoy the conversation. At first it will be hard, especially with all the terms you have to familiarize. But once you already know how to play and people will know that you taught yourself, you should leave them in awe.
